Yashar Behzadi and Greg Moon are the founders of Popslate. They raised $1 million dollars on Indiegogoin 2016 to manufacture the new model.
The popSLATE connected wirelessly to the phone. It was an e-paper screen. That technology allowed it to be super low power, while also being readable.
