Bridal Babes designs special wedding dresses for brides and their bridesmaids. The company was founded by Ashley and her husband Charles in 2019. What led to the creation of the company was the frastration after Ashley searched online and offline for dresses for her friends and family but could not find them.

Brides and bridesmaids typically prefer matching or similar-colored dresses from each other, so the dresses always look wonderful together. Bridal Babes’ sell for between $40 up to $200 for their luxury collection. The Sharks were impressed with the margins and Charles Young and Ashley Young were able to close a deal with Emma Grede for 20% of their business for $250,000.

Ashley Young has a Marketing degree from the University of Virginia and before started her business she worked as a Senior Digital Media Planner at Porter Novelli. 

Most of their customers comes from the social platforms such as Instagram and Tiktok, where they have +99k followers and +60k on respectively. Their total lifetime sales are $2 million, year to date, as their best year so far was in 2021, when they earned $950,000. Their forecast for 2022 was around $1.2 million.

Mother-and-daughter team Amy Leinbach and Marlo Leinbach appear on Shark Tank show season 14 withtheir company Big Bee Little Bee, started in 2016. The young duo asked the shark for $100,000 for a 20% equity in their company. Though the sharks liked the ladies adorable business plan, they weren’t pleased with the revenue numbers. Amy informed the group that she didn’t to have as much profit in the business due to the supply chain difficulties. Furthermore, she had dedicated amounts to $100,000 of her own finances to develop Marlo’s idea.

Big Bee Little Bee’s products range from the ScrubBEE to the Marker Parker and the Build-A-Straw. They have developed many products and this actually is something the sharks didn’t like as they felt that Amy and her daughter weren’t focusing to improve their products.

The lifetime sales of Amy and Marlo’s Big Bee Little Bee business totaled more than $200,000, but it was not entirely achieved through their special unique cleansing scrubber. Their line of products was in the works, and Big Bee Little Bee pledged they would be a part of this deal that’s being pitched to the sharks.

The sharks were not satisfied with the company’s sales, even the duo did a good job presenting their pitch to the sharks. Unfortunately they were not able to land a deal with the sharks, although it was a great experience for the young enterpreneurs.
